Cyborg still meh about fighting her only legitimate challenge other than Holm

I've posted about it before. The only person in women's mma with less viable contenders than her is Gabi Garcia who is beating up women my mom's age with no professional fighting experience. Cyborg plays the I love Brazil card but Brazilian male fighters have fought one another for ages. Methinks it's more to do with her facing an actual striker with aggression who is younger than her.
Much like Mighty Mouse complaining about profile fights then avoiding Dillashaw like the plague, the reasons just don't seem to hold much water.

TUF 18 Tryouts (Men and Women, Oh my!)

They should just call it "TUF 18: Ze Womenz" but I digress.

Believe it or not, women have been scrapping for a long time in history, just with less notoriety and often more controversy.
Well....
in another example of how MMA is far more open-minded and tolerant and egalitarian than boxing and other combat sports, the women folks of MMA are getting pretty much equal billing with their own part of TUF 18 and here are the tryouts. You'll recognize some notables including Tara La Rosa and Roxanne Modaferi:

UFC on Fuel TV 9 (Intercontinental Belt) Preview & Invicta 5 FC: Video Preview

.....or, it's more like this:
But honestly, this is basically the showdown between the two best European imports to the UFC:

On that mixed martial arts note, MMAMania.com has some predictions for those gambling-inclined of you out there wishing to be in the know when you bet your buddy a box of Franzia or a 6 pack of Miller Lite while day drinking during the Swedish-time broadcast of UFC on Fuel TV 9 this weekend (230pm sharp, I believe). The prelims, sadly, begin broadcasting at 1030am, but hey, you were in college once, or hung out with people in college and tailgated, what's a little pre-noon indulgence?

The UFC hasn't seemed concerned about hyping a card which has a good shot of putting Gustafsson as next in line for a title shot as he has some good looking highlight reels since getting subbed by Phil Davis (you forgot, didn't you?).
IN fact, this is the closest thing to a preview they've put out, not much more than a commercial. There are some great stylistic match-ups on this card with the likes of:
From MMAJunkie.com - "
MAIN CARD (FUEL TV, 2 p.m. ET)
PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook, 10:30 a.m. ET)
"-----

For those who like and/or are willing to watch women punch one another in the face in the name of egalitarianism or you just like seeing the behemoth that is Cris Cyborg batter other less testosterone-fueled women, Invicta is your ticket and it's on this weekend.

Monday (MMA) Mailbag: Women's Edition

Women's MMA is currently Rousey's World. Other women are just living in it.

this is refreshing. She had a lot of things to say after Rousey tore virtually every ligament in her arm and bent it 90 degrees the wrong way, but it looks like common sense is telling her she has some things to address before she takes on the female arm collector that is Rousey.

- Watch replays of the event today and tomorrow if you have Showtime or Showtime HD.

- Rousey tells Cyborg to get off the PED's and meet her at 135

- Cybrog refuses meeting at 135 and asks to leave Strikeforce
