ACB JiuJitsu 10 - Jan 26th: Ridiculously talented card & and What It Means for Other Organizations

The amount of firepower on this card in terms of recognizable competitors is pretty staggering. I guess being a warlord of a Russian province is a good career move when it pays off.
Matching up title winners for the main card and debuting some of their recent signees has led to a bunch of interesting matches. It's intriguing as well, because getting ibjjf guys to submit to a different rule set is notoriously problematic but ACB must be making it worth their while to do so. I've heard some stories from guys who shall remain nameless who went over there. Lots of fringe benefits shall we say.

Main Event:
Panza vs Rocha
&
Augusto Tanquinho Mendes vs Paulo Miyao

Rounding it out are the likes of Buchecha, Lucas Lepri, Marcio Andre, Wardzinski, Otavio Sousa, Calasans, Gaudio, Leandro Lo, Moizinho, Hinger, Maidana, Mafra, Cavaca, Romulo....I mean, who isn't signed?
I honesty don't know what it costs to organize a single event like this but I am dying to know. From what I had heard the contracts are exclusive, outside of IBJJF events, meaning the buying price for some of these guys had to be considerable to forgo any other competitions out of the year. On one hand, great to see guys getting paid. On the other hand, it's extremely limiting for any upstart promotion wanting to book a couple name guys for a superfight throughout the year. I expect you'll see more purple and brown belt events spotlighting talent as the solution utilized by domestic/US tournaments. Organizations like 5 Grappling and F2Win Pro will have to make do with well known competitors left unsigned. Curious to see what this does to the professional JiuJitsu landscape. In the coming year to two years.
