Hashimoto did work and was looking to force the pass via a lapel feed step over choke but to no avail. He did score the back and was clearly working to finish the whole match but settled for a decision.
Chantre was Chantre and did a lot of stalling from top and 50/50 type stuff to win a boring decision.
Moku hands Magalhaes a boring add loss via ref decision.
Carvalho picked up a quick reverse toe
Hold type grip.
AJ Sousa was putting in work on Maidana with takedowns, guard passes, mount and submission attempts but after nearly two hours in and a ton of decisions and having read nearly all the other matches went to decision I stopped watching.
It's tough to blame the format or the athletes in that when there's a minute left and you're up on points or down, you start mentally preparing for the next round. Add to that there's no guard pulling in the first minute and you're basically saying okay, if no takedowns you have 4 minutes left to work against S top tier black belt. I dunno what the solution is but 13 decisions and 2 submissions is a tough event to sit through man.
