After the near debacle of Jon Jones vs the people's champ (?) Chael Sonnen, the next two weeks have a mix of relevant fights and a not likely competitive HW title strap fight.
Belfort fights Rockhold which is interesting b/c if Rockhold were to somehow blow through Vitor, he'd be on the hype train for a title shot. If Belfort wins, Dana would say Rockhold wasn't enough of an opponent to warrant a title shot after the crane kick style KO Belfort suffered at the hands of the Spider. I don't know why Rich Franklin warranted a rematch after the absolute facial/nose destruction he endured, but Vitor loses by crane kick and has to beat 5 guys to face Anderson who beat one person to get his shot at the belt after joining the UFC, but alas, I have digressed.
Jacare will take a feeder fight closer to an eventual title shot against late replacement Chris Camozzi who has no weapons with which he can hope to stop the Jacare-machine. Dos Anjos will gain momentum by beating Evan Dunham who has slowed and lost pace after a devastating KO loss to "outstanding warrants and positive cocaine pre-fight drug test awhile back" Guillard which likely cost him Dunham a shot at the belt. Natal is fighting some guy who I've never heard, Tibau will grind out a decision win, Thiago will likely submit some guy you've never heard of, and Francisco Trinaldo will KO some guy and build some hype for his perhaps shot at a title in 5 fights due to the logjam in his weight class.
