Copa Podio Spotlight: Lightweight Grand Prix - Oliver Geddes vs Victor Estima

The disparity in their wins at the elite level is discouraging for those hoping to see a non-Brazilian excel in the homeland of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I refuse to believe Oliver Geddes has the depth of training partners necessary to prepare for someone as crafty as Victor Estima. Estima is dangerous from many positions and Geddes' notable wins have come against predominantly European competition rather than the worldwide type of talent Estima has faced even in his losing efforts on the big stage.

Oliver Geddes - Roger Gracie's first black belt across the pond, and his most recognizable competitor.
Geddes shot to notoriety when he kneebarred Marcos Souza (brother to Satoshi, Marcos recently won his division at the Abu Dhabi Pro against Victor Estima coincidentally enough). Collecting Marcos' scalp at the high level IBJJF Euros in 2012.
